Fast Trip Back to Oceanside

Three weeks to get from Missouri to Southern California. 1900 miles and seven stopovers. Here’s what we did along the way.

A summary of our road trip through the main LDS church history sites east of the Mississippi, including Palmyra, Kirtland, Independence, and Nauvoo.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Pennsylvania Dutch country, where we stayed for 9 days in April.

Visiting the Eastern Shore of Virginia, including a trip to Assateague Island to see the wild ponies. Crossing the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel.

Highlights of our visit to Washington, D.C., Mount Vernon, Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown. What an awesome history lesson!

We ate some of the best BBQ we’ve ever had, watch dolphins swimming in the river, and stayed at one of our all time favorite campgrounds.

Pictures of our trip to Disney World and a little bit about why we decided to get a Thousand Trails membership while we were there.

We spent a weekend in Everglades National Park where we went on a boat ride, spotted some crocodiles, and hid from swarms of mosquitoes.

We got to visit a Coral Castle, then drive almost 100 miles over the water to Key West. We celebrated Nathan’s birthday and hung out on the beach.

We took over Legoland Florida with our group of fellow fulltime travelers and roadschoolers. What a blast doing this field trip with all our friends!
